About Us – Massage Therapist

Brad Newstead

Owner, Registered Massage Therapist - Kingston Ontario

My name is Brad Newstead – I am the owner and operator of Free Flow Massage Therapy Clinic (est. 1999).

I studied massage therapy at D’Arcy Lane Institute from 1994 – 1996 where I obtained my Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) designation with honours following successful completion of the intensive 2200 hour RMT program.

Immediately following my graduation I began working with professional athletes providing treatment to OHA hockey schools and Highland Games athletes. Following that, I worked with various local health care agencies within multi-disciplinary teams (chiropractic/physiotherapy) developing my massage technique and experience. In 1999 I founded Free Flow Massage Therapy Clinic providing Swedish massage therapy treatments to all ages from infants to the elderly.

I have enjoyed owning the clinic and offering massage therapy services to my clientele. I believe my clients have benefited from my expertise and I, in turn, learned much and gained invaluable experience from them.

Working with and helping my clients heal is very rewarding and fulfilling for me – I am looking forward to meeting you.

About Massage Therapy Free Flow Massage Therapy Clinic:

After many successful years of providing massage therapy at my city-centre location I have moved my practice to offer service to an underserviced area on the north side of the city. This area is developing rapidly and is home to many businesses, professionals and working people.

The Clinic is located in my home and is completely separate from living areas and includes a separate clinic entrance. The treatment area is a professional, quiet, calming studio with the sounds of a water fountain and the glow of a fireplace – a truly tranquil place for relaxing and healing.

The Treatment

At the Clinic, I will work with you providing knowledge, awareness and treatment to ensure a full-scope plan to help your recovery process as well as prevention of future injury.

Your initial therapeutic session will start with an assessment. A good assessment is essential before treatment. A full assessment and a strategic treatment plan are developed to ensure immediate and long-term goals are met. An assessment will help me to:

  • analyze posture and movement patterns
  • identify limitations
  • map joint position
  • list muscles which have been elongated or shortened, either of which will make them tense, weak, and predisposed to injury.

My goal is to work with you to provide a safe, holistic massage therapy experience that will leave you feeling better as treatment of your acute and chronic conditions progress.
